One of the oldest riding clubs in India, Amateur Riders' Club is located in the heart of Mumbai. They give their members vital coaching in riding, polo, dressage, show jumping and tent pegging. Their activities are organized in a friendly manner.

They also give theory classes to make you acquainted with the horse and the equipment used for riding.

Their facilities include 3 riding schools, and a polo ground. The club house has air conditioned entertaining facilities and a snack shop.

To have a safe ride you must be properly dressed. Safety hat/helmet with chin strap is compulsory and riding breeches with shirt tucked in. Tight pair of jeans may be worn in lieu of breeches. You must wear leather shoes with at least 1 inch heel but rubber soles with grooves are not permitted. Female riders must tie their hair tightly.
