Siddhivinayak Temple

This temple at Prabhadevi is the epicenter of religious faith and abode of Lord Ganesha.

The temple was completed 200 years ago according to the Hindu calendar. The devotees experience a strong feeling of purity and freshness, and a sense of peace pervades their frayed nerves.

There are bel leaves, milk and curd abhisheks for Lord Ganesha and liberal part of oil for Lord Hanuman. The temple is a pilgrimage spot for many and is the centre of feverish activity all year round.

This temple was built under the instructions of Late Mrs.Deubai Patil, who was a rich lady of Agri Samaj from Matunga. She was a dedicated devotee of Lord Ganesh, who prayed a lot to have a child and in turn promised a pledge that on the fulfillment of her wish, she would build a temple of Lord Ganesh. This temple is always crowded and attracts a large throng of devotees.
